General Manager Commercial – Lagos – Ischus Consulting

Job Description
The successful candidate will manage and grow our Client’s portfolio of businesses into commercially viable entities that sustainably contribute to the overall business goals of the Client.
Develop appropriate market and competitive intelligence to inform a sound marketing strategy across portfolio.
Identifying and mature new business opportunities for integration into the Client’s portfolio.
Manage the value chain for developing and harnessing new business opportunities.
Identify partners and brands that strengthen that Portfolio brand
Provide advisory services on investment opportunities.
Responsible for implementing business/marketing strategy for delivering top quality products and services.
Develop and manage the customer value proposition and customer/ client management processes to ensure engaged and repeat customers/business.
Develop business processes to ensure efficient end to end operations across all businesses
Manage the order and fulfillment process to ensure satisfactory fulfillment as well as prompt collection of invoices for services rendered.
Responsibly operate all facilities and provide services without HSE incidents
Champion process and business improvement for all business streams
Manage budgets for business streams with clear bottom-line accountability
Execute unique strategy for sustained growth across all business streams.
Ensure competitive pricing/ tariffing plan for all goods and services.
Manage the supply chain strategy for all business streams, ensuring costs are managed and quality is not compromised.
Ensure the financial objectives of the board are met by all business streams.
Contribute to overall development of the Group as a member of the Group Executive Management team
Manage HSE and regulatory compliance across the business streams
Implement and contribute to good governance practices in the Group
Serve as the brand ambassador ensuring compliance in all business streams
Provide enabling environment for teams and individuals to function effectively.
Provide performance targets, feedback and appraisals as at when due for all direct reports and ensure cascade.
Provide learning and development opportunities for all reports.
Act as coach/ mentor to reports and other staff assigned by HR.

Qualifications
Candidates must have a university degree in a related field, an MBA will be an added advantage.
Candidates must possess at least 10 – 12 years’ experience in commercial business development, investment management, 5 of which must have been spent in a management or senior management position.
