Team Lead – Hygiene Promotion and Social Mobilisation – Catholic Relief Services

Job Summary/Responsibilities
As part of the CRS integrated WASH and Shelter program the role of the Hygiene Promotion and Social Mobilization Team Leader will be to safeguard and improve the public health of the affected population and community participation as part of CRSs WASH and Shelter infrastructure programs.
S/he Will:
Line manage and train Hygiene Promotion Officers and support their management of Community Mobilizers;
Lead on the development and delivery of hygiene promotion messaging and activities that support positive behavior change;
Ensure that communities are informed and engaged on matters relating to WASH and shelter infrastructure;
Ensure very high levels of accurate reporting at the field level.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Sociology, Public Health or WASH expert with proven experience of hygiene promotion. Master’s Degree is an advantage. Equivalent work experiences may be considered.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with NGOs in the field of WASH and particularly in Hygiene Promotion and Social Mobilization.
Proven ability to provide technical assistance, training and expert advice to hygiene promotion staff.
Experience in project management, planning, supervision, quality assurance and reporting.
Good knowledge and experience of working with local partner agencies with a capacity to provide formal and informal training.
Demonstrated experience of integrating gender and diversity issues into public health promotion is an advantage.
Experience managing teams.
Required Language Skills: English Fluency, Kanuri an advantage.
