Host / Hostess – Abuja – FlexEdge Limited

Position Objective
The objective for the Host /Hostesses position is to:
Ensure and enhance Customer comfort and experience during their stay in the hotel restaurant
Ensure proper schedule and management of table and group reservations

Role / Responsibilities
Be the host and communicate with guests
Responsible for customer comfort and engagement
Responsible for informing of the status of their order.
Ensure that guests receive quality service
The individual is supposed to at all times know the state of all the tables in the facility so as to be able to direct guests and groups to appropriate tables.
Regularly check the reservation book for next meal reservations
Ensure effective and fast delivery service by the servers
Inspect dining facilities and ensure proper maintenance
Answer customer’s question accurately
Ensure that customers/guests leave the restaurant with an excellent experience
Estimate wait times for guests
Monitor guest waiting list
Assign tasks to the serving personnel for smooth running of the business
Introduce guests to their servers and monitor the activities of the servers.
Professional / Educational Requirements
OND level or similar standard in hotel/food and beverage studies
Certificate in hotel management and hospitality is a plus
Must be fluent in the English
Knowledge of Nigerian and foreign languages will be an added advantage.

Must have good Physical composure appearance
Excellent oral communication skill
Must have a polite, pleasing and hospitable disposition
Possession of a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Highly customer-centric
Effective customer service skills
Ability to withstand pressure
Organizational and management skills
Possess flexibility and multi-tasking ability
Organizational Skills.
