Qualifications
Applicants must possess the basic qualification of First School Leaving and the O’Level Certificate with five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics for the relevant discipline respectively
The basic qualification for appointment/upgrading to this position is a Ph.D degree or its equivalent
Candidates without Ph.D degree may be appointed or upgraded if they possess at least, a Master’s degree with course work and thesis in the area of specialization in which the candidate is seeking appointment
Subject of specialization, plus. a minimum of three years post qualification teaching experience as Assistant Librarian in a University or institution of similar status
At least, one paper in a refereed conference proceeding
A favorable report from the Department/Faculty Appointments & Promotions
Committee (Academic)
Holder of M.Sc. plus LRCN may be appointed as Librarian II
