The procurement officer will ensure procurements are conducted in a consistent, transparent and cost-effective manner to avoid fruitless and wasteful expenditures.
This office holder shall negotiate with contractors before arriving at a satisfactory amount that saves cost without compromising quality.
The procurement officer manages all purchases for the branch, always negotiates with vendors for the best and most favorable rates for the company. The officeholder is expected to be honest in all dealings and frugal in transactions on behalf of the company.
Candidate will be expected to:
Be familiar with Microsoft Office suite
Be resilient and have vociferous negotiation skills
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Have strong critical thinking and numerate skills
Be organized and have accurate recordkeeping skills
Be proficiency in the use of computers
Be in charge of the purchase of equipment for the organization, contact suppliers and research offers and quotations.
Render assistance for jobs involving servicing, works/ repairs and supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
B.Sc Holder in any of the numerate disciplines
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Procurement.
